Thorough field clearance
Uneven or extra wide swaths are cleanly raked up by the 73" pick-up on the ROLLANT 240. The optimal tine spacing on the heavy-duty pick-up had been carefully selected for the thorough clearance of short crops. Large stub augers on either side feed the crop to the intake width. This results in extra bale density around the edges. The benefit for you: the bales are extremely stable, withstand rough handling, and do not lose their shape during transportation or long storage.

The Rotor makes the difference
The ROLLANT 240 is designed for farmers who do not want to chop the crop but still require high bale density and fast field clearance. The rotor pulls the crop from the pick-up without interruption and feeds it actively into the baling chamber.

A close cut makes the best silage
The ROTO CUT system runs at over 7000 chops per minute. Four rows of tines draw the crop in evenly and pass it through the 14 individually secured knives. A special system of scrapers keeps the rotor clean at all times. The careful choice of the angle to the feed tines effectively prevents the crop from being squashed on its way through. Cut forage is much easier to compress, which is a prerequisite for very dense bales. Breaking the bales apart is also much easier.

The outstanding features of the ROLLANT round baler family from CLAAS include a rugged layout of components and exceptional reliability coupled with high work rates and dense bale formation. The 16 extra stable steel rollers are surrounded with feed-enhancing slats that compact the crop into hard, stable bales that stay in shape. The slats also ensure proper bale rotation, even in dry crop conditions. ROLLANT balers are the best choice for a trouble-free harvest.

Twine or net - the choice is yours
Automatic Tying - Twine or net - ROLLANT gives you the choice. ROLLATEX net wrap saves precious time, as bale wrapping is fully automated and only takes a matter of seconds. The fully adjustable net guidance system allows the net to be applied tightly on both the full width and edges of the bale.
Variable number of wrap turns - Different crops require different amounts of wrapping, so you can set this over a wide range according to the task at hand. As a custom operator, this means you can meet the requirements of your customers at all times.

Cost efficiency
Tying with twine is the classic method used by many farmers. Twine is even cheaper than net. Up to 12 rolls of twine can be stored in the ROLLANT. Twine binding is fully automated, just like net binding. The number of wrappings can be pre-selected by the operator.

| Drives |
 |
On the ROLLANT, all rollers are driven. This means that even in the driest harvesting conditions, baling will not stop. The highest quality, reinforced roller chains guarantee complete operational safety. Optimal chain tension is guaranteed by self-adjusting, spring-loaded chain adjusters.

Lubrication equals smoother running
The drive chains are lubricated automatically. In addition to automatic chain adjustment, automatic lubrication contributes significantly to keeping wear and tear at a minimum.
