The exceptional QUADRANT drive system features high rotation speeds, low torque values and zero-maintenance drives operating in oil baths. The 3-phase packer tines are controlled by a connecting rod and, in typical CLAAS style, require absolutely no maintenance. A minimum number of moving parts guarantees maximum reliability.

  • Produces 31.5" x 27.5" bales
  • 83" wide pickup
  • 51 baling ram cycles per minute
  • Road travel up to 25 mph
Full Width Pickup

With a working width of 83 in. (2.1 m), the CLAAS pickup has the perfect width for thoroughly clearing even the widest, uneven swaths at high speed. The flexible design and hydraulic suspension keep the pickup close to the ground all the way across, ensuring that the crop stays clean.

PFS –The system makes the difference
PFS is short for POWER FEEDING SYSTEM and it is standard for the QUADRANT 2100 model. Therefore it is equipped with a large intake auger that transports the crop coming from the pickup and feeds it deep into the rotor with powerful paddles. The intake capacity of the auger is enhanced by the roller crop press, which compresses the crop before feeding it to the auger. This unique combination of roller crop press and actively driven, full-width intake auger improves efficiency, particularly in irregular silage swaths. Depending on the crop, this means approximately 20 % more throughput thanks to the POWER FEEDING SYSTEM.
Feeding System - from pickup to baling chamber in a flash
Powerful rotor
A powerful rotor carries the crop from the pick-up and the PFS system and feeds it to the packer tines. This effectively smoothes out the crop flow and significantly increases the throughput of the machine.
QUADRANT ROTO CUT
The power-saving pull-through chop of the 25- or 16-knife chopping rotor reduces energy demands and works with precision, enabling every type of crop to be taken on board smoothly, chopped cleanly and pre-compressed efficiently. Protected by a safety clutch operating in an oil bath, the QUADRANT can be safely run to its limit.
Perfect technology
In addition to the full-width intake feed auger, the PFS system has an 3.2 in (8 mm) thick rotor. The wider rotor stars reduce the distance to the knife, increase the chopping quality and achieving maximum stability and service life.
Baling Chamber - produces rock hard bales
High bale density guaranteed
51 baling ram cycles per minute make an impact. The bales are compacted to impressively small size.
Super-hard bales guaranteed
With a baling channel widths of 9 ft. (2.75 m) in the QUADRANT 2100, CLAAS balers produce high frictional resistance, meaning maximum potential for super-hard bales, even at high throughput speeds. A powerful advantage, especially in industrial-scale straw baling operations.
More performance guaranteed
More pounds per cubic foot, more tons per hour. The powerful main drive transmits power to the heavy ram via two robust connecting rods. The hydraulic pressure is applied on three sides to produce consistently dense bales with excellent compaction. This guarantees fewer bales per acre, quicker clearing of fields and reduced storage space requirements.
Knotting - perfect bales need perfect knots
CLAAS knotter
It would be impossible to imagine CLAAS balers without the legendary CLAAS knotter, which has been instrumental in establishing the worldwide success of CLAAS balers. Naturally, the QUADRANT is no exception.
Rock hard
Four or six knotting mechanisms make it is possible to achieve considerably higher bale weights. The high-performance CLAAS knotters guarantee tight and perfectly secure knots even when the highest bale density and maximum throughput are demanded of the baler.
Twine storage
Up to 24 rolls of twine can be carried on the machine as backup. That's enough for even the longest working day.
Drives - innovative drive concept

Unique overload protection
The packer tines and rotor are equipped with independent, automatic overload protection devices. As a result, the machine can be kept running safely at maximum throughput with any crop. If the packer tine clutch is engaged, the rotor clutch is disengaged automatically. This makes it virtually impossible for the QUADRANT to jam any blockage can be easily cleared from the driver’s seat on the tractor. However, if the rotor overload clutch is engaged, the chopping housing is automatically opened by hydraulics – the rotor can then work itself free again on its own. This also prevents power peaks during blockages.

Operation - professional control
The QUADRANT 2100 R/RC models are fitted with the CLAAS COMMUNICATOR. With its large display, the clearly laid-out terminal keeps you constantly informed of the machine’s operational status. Moreover, you can access any of the five menus at any time to modify critical configuration parameters rapidly with just one hand. These parameters include baling pressure, bale length or opening and closing of the chopping housing.
Professional data collection
20 memory blocks permit customer-specific storage of the number of bales, total length, percentage of chopped bales and the average bale length. You then have all the information you need for accurate invoicing.
